The SCBR editors all took time out to work on and attend Stories From the Heart, and we're still catching up on book reviews. Here are three we've just posted. There's more to come, so stay tuned!
FANTASTIC RECYCLED PLASTIC, by Robin/David Edgar, reviewed by Susan Andrus. Fascinating book, good teaching tool. Robin is an SCN member.
What kind of wealth matters most? CHEAP: THE HIGH COST OF DISCOUNT CULTURE, by Ellen Shell, reviewed by Susan Andrus. Susan's thorough, careful review captures the book's highlights. If you're concerned about the costs hidden in the consumer culture, this is a book you'll want to read.
He's not a prince? Live with it. CHANGE YOUR MINDSET, NOT YOUR MAN, by Sally Watkins, reviewed by Jennifer Melville. Jennifer raised a few issues about this book but found it worthwhile, overall. You will too.
Remember that when you purchase a book through our book review website, you're making a contribution to SCN's many programs. Please support us, so we can continue to support women's lifewriting work.
